Excellent saddle for a hybrid, cruiser, or exercise bicycle., July 2, 2011 By ERM "ERM" (Miami, FL) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Velo Velo Elastomer Bicycle Saddle (Sports) Everyone's anatomy is different - I am male, 5'9" and 173 lbs - so your experience may be different than mine. I have tested 6 different saddles between my road bike and a ProForm 290 SPX Indoor Cycle Trainer that I use on rainy days. The six saddles were: 1) Serfas Performance RX (very good for a road bike - its on mine), 2) Serfas E-Gel Hybrid Bicycle Saddle With Cut Out (by far, the worst and least comfortable - see my review on this item), 3)Selle Royal Lookin Moderate Cool Xsenium Bi-Color Actex Bicycle Saddle (2nd worse due to pressure to the perineum area), 4)the stock seat that came on the ProForm 290 SPX (uncomfortable for long rides, but better than #2 and #3 above), 5) Velo Elastomer Bicycle Saddle (this saddle is extremely comfortable AND it happens to be the least expensive - its the one I chose for the ProForm 290), and the 6) Sunlite Cloud-9 Bicycle Suspension Comfort Saddle (better than #2,#3,#4, but uncomfortable compared to the Velo Elastomer saddle).

6 of 6 people found the following review helpful Great Bike Saddle.. and Definitely Great Value, July 27, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Velo Velo Elastomer Bicycle Saddle (Sports) The Velo Velo Elastomer Bike Saddle was bought to replace my stock bike saddle on my Trek hybrid. I had been getting sciatica in my tail bone after even 30-minute rides on asphalt. With Velo: Gone.. even after a 45+ min. trip. I even noticed less discomfort in my hands from leaning forward on the handlebars (had been something I noticed--even w/ bike gloves). Looking forward to some longer trips with this new saddle. Just a tip for the do-it-yourself disinclined--the seat comes with a mount attached to the bars underneath. In order to install this seat on my seat post, I had to unscrew the existing mount and attach the one that was on my old seat to the Velo saddle. It took some figiting with a Allen wrench and screwdriver but it was doable. If you don't want to hassle with it, I suggest taking it to a bike shop and they should be able to do it in a flash.
