Looks odd, feels perfect!, October 14, 2009 By This review is from: Ergo The Seat Classic Bicycle Saddle (Sports) For long or short rides, the best possible thing in the market. It takes a bit to get used to it, but not long: just minutes. Once it's in your bike, you'll wonder how was it you could ride without it. All bikes should carry one! My model is the basic (no fancy leather), and it can withstand rain, humidity and heat. Again, at first, one may feel uneasy about riding, but since the design makes sure that your butt takes on the body weight, pedaling and riding are pleasant, smooth and enjoyable.

I ride a lot! When I go bike touring I ride between 80 - 150 miles/day. I often ride 86+ miles from our daughter's home in Huntington beach back to our home in San Diego. I've been riding almost every day for many years. This seat is so comfortable you don't have to stand up and peddle in order to get some temporary relief. No sore butt! No chafing! no penile numbness! Just bike for miles and miles and enjoy it!
I've tried many bike saddles in the past 67 years and I've finally found one that's comfortable. Just a simple design with very little padding - and inexpensive too!
My wife tried it and insisted that I get one for her bike too.

This seat solved that problem, but presented another one. The seat is very narrow and the front corners of the seat jab into the sides of my butt. I tried tilting it forward, but I keep slipping off. Also, my weight shifts too much to my arms, and I don't like that. This seat may work with a bike that you can sit upright, but not anything else.
