More comfortable than a pillow!, August 20, 2010 This review is from: 1-1/2" Thick - 12" Wide - Bicycle Seat Cover / Gel Pad-Wide (Misc.) I bought this after 3 weeks of horrid pain riding my new Proform stationary upright. I am a large girl (280 lbs), so the combined pressure of my own weight plus a hard bike seat caused pain so great I could barely walk after a ride.
The benefits I have noticed from this seat:
*I can ride longer, peddle faster
*Drastic reduction in pain around groin, buttock, and lower back areas
*Referred pain from my spine to left leg is no longer a problem while I ride. Before, my left leg would get tired and hurt after only a short ride.
*Gel moves and adjusts with your weight as you peddle, reducing friction and "saddle sores"
*Comfortable for plus-sized people
Without the pain from my seat, I can now focus on my ride and put more into it, instead of thinking about how much I want to get off the bike. Now instead of asking myself "When can I stop?" I ask "How long can I go?"

This seat made my schwinn airdyne exercise bike ride like a dream. I was having trouble taking long rides on the bike because of the comfort of the seat. This is the cadillac of bicycle seats. Plenty of gel and is abolutely perfect. BUY THIS SEAT IF YOU WANT A COMFORTABLE RIDE!!!!!!
