Sweet Seat, March 23, 2008 By This review is from: Sunlite Cloud-9, Bicycle Suspension Comfort Saddles, Comfort Gel Mens, Tri Color Lycra (Misc.) Wow! I finally found the correct replacement seat for my 2008 Specialized CrossTrail Expert bike.
I made a mistake and bought a different Cloud 9 seat that was very wrong for me (way too wide and was quite firm). But this one is AWESOME. It looks sleek and matches my paint job. I have ridden on it quite a bit now and am very pleased. Was hesitant on buying it because there were no reviews yet. Guess there was no need to worry.
I used to brace myself and put a lot of weight on the pedals in anticipation of hitting bumps and rough spots with the rear wheel after I would feel something pass under the front suspension wheel. It just hurt so bad. But now with this seat I don't have to worry. It takes impact very well and is like having rear suspension on my bike.

Falls apart when exposed to water, not great suspension., June 30, 2010 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Sunlite Cloud-9, Bicycle Suspension Comfort Saddles, Comfort Gel Mens, Tri Color Lycra (Misc.) This seat started falling apart after it was left in the rain on my bike one day. The water broke down the lycra and started tearing. Over the course of a few months, the fabric tore more and more until the whole front of the seat was exposed. the foam ripped and broke off, exposing a piece of hard plastic covered in tape. The seat was somewhat comfortable before it broke, I just wish the fabric was a little more durable.
UPDATE: I purchased the Schwinn Pillow Top Cruiser Bicycle Seat as a replacement, and it has served me well! It's not completely waterproof (heavy rain can seep in through the seams and be absorbed into the cushion) but it did not take long to dry. It is slightly firmer, but I highly recommend the Schwinn seat if your bike may be exposed to the elements.

Got one of these for me and my wife (women's version) because every time we went for a ride after about a half hour it was majorly uncomfortable...
We've been riding on these saddles for 2 weeks now and keep noting how it's so much more fun to ride without the 'back pain'!
This did the trick for us!
